FIANDRE CELEBRATES THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF IL RESTO DEL CARLINO
In the splendid setting of Bologna's Carlton Hotel, Fiandre and Il Resto del Carlino, two organisations that share a history of success, will celebrate the newspaper's 125th anniversary together: a partnership linking two outstanding examples of Italian excellence, to celebrate a history of growth and success.
Fiandre - a world leader in the production of top quality porcelain stoneware tiles for prestigious installations – was chosen to work on the restoration of the newspaper's Marco Biagi Hall.
These two prominent organisations boast a history of study, research and innovation: the engines driving growth.
Fiandre was established in 1961, and what its history shares with the prestigious newspaper is a common focus on keeping up with progress in technology and innovation, and on working for the good of people and society.
Fiandre works in the sector of floor and wall covering materials for contemporary architecture, in a world that is increasingly aware of environmental issues: the company's environmental and social consciousness has led to partnerships such as that with the Government Commission for Expo 2010 in Shanghai, where Fiandre will provide the flooring for the entire Italian pavilion.
The company's most recent new product is Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™, a new production method which uses the combined action of light and titanium dioxide to reduce atmospheric pollution and kill bacteria.
Crowning a long series of successes, Il Resto del Carlino chose Fiandre to put a new polish on the Marco Biagi Hall, creating a space for meetings and debates of key importance for the growth and evolution of society right in the newspaper's editorial offices.
Fiandre and Il Resto del Carlino represent a virtuous example of Italian excellence and of the value of history for the organisations' future progress.
