AROUND FOOD INAUGURATES FUORI SALONE 2010

Fiandre and Iris Ceramica made a great debut at FuoriSalone 2010 with Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™.
On Tuesday April 13, an instant culinary exhibition by chef Davide Scabin attracted a vast audience in the halls of Il Sole 24 Ore, designed by Renzo Piano.
The great chef entertained more than 300 guests with a presentation on his taste secrets.

The participants in the talk show presented by Marco Casamonti and Luca Molinari were seated around an unusual table covered with Fiandre’s 150x75 cm Taxos Extreme Active tiles.
The innovative productive process conceived by Fiandre and Iris Ceramica fit in perfectly with the themes of culinary experiments and food design: the dinner concluded in a surprising way, with the last course served directly on the tiles to demonstrate the hygienic qualities of the material produced using the titanium dioxide productive process, which is perfectly healthful for humans.

The treats made by Davide Scabin and Paolo Parisi were served to people from Area 190+, along with Fiandre chairman and managing director Graziano Verdi, who took the floor to describe the revolutionary new development represented by Active, the perfect complement to the culinary experiments of chef Scabin.
Active tiles made an unusual but perfect surface for the kitchen counter, thanks to their anti-bacterial qualities, making them ideal for uses in which hygiene is of primary importance.
Tiles that improve quality of life with food for wellbeing, in the perfect combination of quality and innovation.
