THE JOHN HANCOCK TOWER PRIZE GOES TO GRAZIANO VERDI

Sergio Marchionne (CEO Fiat Group) and Graziano Verdi (President & CEO Fiandre Group and CEO of Iris Group): what do they have in common? They both represent the excellence of the Italian top management, two eclectic professionals who are trying , each one in his own way and field, to hold the leadership of two industrial giants in an international market which does not recognize anymore rules kept as generally accepted till not long time ago.

The global scenario has been deeply changed, the global set-up is trying to find with difficulty a new balance, the game forces its main players to catch challenges requesting even more impulse and inventiveness.



These have been the main reasons driving the Italian-American Chamber of Commerce of Chicago (IACC) in the person of the lawyer Charles Bernardini to award these carabinieri sons with the John Hancock Tower as recognition for their contributions in US-Italy trade relations (Marchionne in 2008, Verdi on June 30th on the occasion of the new Chicago show-room opening and of the introduction to the American market of Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™).



Fiat with Chrysler, symbol of the entire American automotive industry, and Fiandre with Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™, a new and revolutionary production process in the whole ceramic manufacturing field, launched less than one year ago after several years of intensive scientific and technological studies, are the answers coming from the Italian industrial system to resist and to oppose the economic crisis in the effort of transforming it into a brand new opportunity, which only few industrial realities are able and have the tools to catch.
