INAUGURATION OF 65TH GEOLOGICA SHOP IN SHANGHAI

On Wednesday April 19th, a select audience of over 300 international guests attended the opening ceremony for the 65th Geologica Shop in Shanghai. While using elements of the recognised Geologica display concept, the project was signed by the Italian architect Silvio Cassarà, who trained under the master architect Richard Meier and who conceived the project and supervised its realisation. The facility, situated in the heart of the Chinese metropolis, covers a floor area of 850 m², 600 of which realised using Geologica materials by GranitiFiandre. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the architect Silvio Cassarà and, representing GranitiFiandre, Gianfranco Sassi, Key Account Manager, and Mattia Malaguti, Far East Sales Manager. Among the other influential figures present at the opening ceremony were the Italian General Consul, a number of internationally renowned architects, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce in China and a throng of journalists from specialised publications and the local press. A fashion show was also held during the event, presenting the most prestigious new arrivals in the Geologica range, namely the GeoDiamond, GeoDesign and Luminous Slabs series. Confirming the prestige of this new centre, which represents the pinnacle of Italian excellence in this industry, and reiterating a decades-long partnership, was another world class Italian icon, a Ferrari 430 kindly loaned by Maranello. The values of "Italianness" and of GranitiFiandre were further expounded during speeches held by the "representatives" of GranitiFiandre and by the Italian General Consul. The elegant and sophisticated appearance of the new Geologica shop was a great success among the guests, as it is a skilful fusion of distinctly Italian style with the tastes of millenary Chinese culture. On this extremely promising note, we wish the entire staff of Be New Form the best of luck in this new venture.
