ECO-EFFICIENT ARCHITECTURE

Wednesday 16th May 2007, at the Italian Cultural Institute of Prague, GranitiFiandre hosted a grand cultural event attended by many important architects and investors from the Czech Republic, the speaker at which was architect Mario Cucinella, who dealt with an issue of immediate interest: Eco Efficiency. The architect, who boasts among his major projects the SIEEB (Sino-Italian Ecological and Energy Efficient Building), a building constructed in Beijing, China, and conceived in such as way as, not only to have "no consumption", but actually to be able to produce it, has always been at the forefront in promoting architecture that recognises and addresses the need to save energy. Among the guests of the evening, in which the Chairman of GranitiFiandre, Graziano Verdi, and the company's Key Account Director, Gianfranco Sassi, participated, were His Excellency, the ambassador Fabio Pigliapoco, the majority shareholder of the magazine Ottagono, Andrea Ponzellini, as well as the editor Dr. Lolli and numerous other journalists. The theme of eco efficiency met with significant interest and opened a debate that continued in the beautiful gardens of the cultural institute during a buffet. There was great satisfaction on the part of the company, that has always been attentive to environmental issues (it should be pointed out that GranitiFiandre was one of the first companies in the sector to be awarded the EMAS certification) and sensitive to the promotion of Architectural Culture.
