ACTIVE SELECTED FOR THE 2010 ADI DESIGN INDEX

GranitiFiandre’s innovative Active Clean Air & Antibacterial CeramicTM production method has been selected for publication in the 2010 ADI Design Index, a prestigious recognition underlining its truly innovative features.

The ADI Design Index is the most prestigious recognition of quality in the production and design of goods, services and systems in Italian design. In more than 50 years of history it has put together the country’s greatest historical design collection, declared a part of Italy's national heritage asset by the Cultural Heritage Ministryin 2004, an unprecedented step  in the history of international design recognising the collection’s outstanding artistic and historical value.

The ADI Foundation, whose mission is preservation and promotion of the culture of design and safeguarding of its historical heritage and future prospects, is particularly committed to promoting perception of design as a value and an innovative drive toward improvement of our quality of life: a purpose which perfectly suits GranitiFiandre’s mission as expressed in the ACTIVE method.
The Compasso d’Oro Historical Collection is one of the most significant testimonies of international contemporary design. Every three years the award is presented again and the collection is further enriched with the products that have won the prestigious prize.

The 2010 ADI Design Index will be presented on November 30 at the Triennale in Milan. The volume completes the pre-selection of products to be put before the panel of judges for the 2011 Compasso d'Oro Award: the future winners already appear in the thousand pages or so of the past three editions of the annual.
The evening will feature speeches by Carlo Masseroli, Councillor for Development in the City of Milan; Massimo Arlechino, Chairman of the Valore Italia Foundation; Luisa Bocchietto, National ADI Chairman; Giovanni Cutolo, Chairman of the ADI Foundation; and Oscar G. Colli, who edited the volume.
