WHITE50 ACTIVE: A GERMAN CHOICE!

This year’s edition of Domotex, the prestigious German showcase for flooring materials, just closed in Hannover (January 15-18 2011).
As always, Domotex attracted numerous manufacturers of floor and wall covering materials from all over the world, and once more GranitiFiandre was there.
 
The trade fair featured an initiative promoted by AIT, Architektur, Innenarchitektur u. Technischerausbau, Germany’s biggest and most prestigious magazine for the trade: “Innovationspreis” set out to identify the 5 materials standing out from all others on display at the fair for their innovative content, as identified by a carefully chosen panel of judges including Germany’s most prominent designers, the biggest names on the German design scene.
Innovation Preis has been awarded every year since 2005 for achievement in the design of sustainable products testifying to the development of effective innovations.
 
This year Fiandre participated with a material which is not only innovative but truly unique: White50 Active, part of the Serie100 collection, combines the markedly modern look of scratched metal with a strong awareness of green issues, as it is made of a high percentage of recycled materials. The quantities of recycled material present in the four colours included in the collection range from 50% to 100%, achieving the goal of creating materials without using any virgin raw materials at all.
