The Platinum collection has been selected to complete the conservative refurbishment (started in 2002) of the Pirelli Building in Milan. At the 31st floor of one of the symbols of the city, characterized by a white glass cloud, the Belvedere is paved with the Platinum range in the two colours WhiteWave and PureWave: the new open space consists of 4500 cubic metres where the designers of the De8Architetti and 2 Architetti studios have created a wrapping in white glass contrasting with the transparency of the windows. This is the innovative touch inserted in one of the most famous Milanese monuments, while the ceramic flooring and its texture matches the starting concept of Architect Giò Ponti.
This project has been published on the May cover of Grazia Casa and included in the "18 not to miss spots" list of an ideal tour through Milan design highlights.
In a reportage where 18 personalities trace an ideal map of the cult places in the city, the re-qualifying project of the Pirelli skyscraper Belvedere, paved with the Platinum collection, gained the honour of the cover story.
An additional building has been mentioned as a confirmation of the presence of GranitiFiandre in the most relevant international architectural masterpieces: the new Bocconi University area (by Grafton Architects), awarded by the World Architecture Festival as "best worldwide building 2008". The NewStones paving the high trafficated areas to the new offices provide the high requested resistance and all the performance advantages of the porcelain stoneware.
