The group's parent company GranitiFiandre S.p.A. is Italy's world-leading maker of top quality technical porcelain stoneware tiles for prestigious floor and wall coverings.

This innovative company offers products recreating some of the world's best-known and most prestigious marbles, granites and quarried stones, offering similar aesthetic properties with improved technical qualities (brilliance, homogeneity, resistance, low absorption).

GranitiFiandre S.p.A. has always stood out for its capacity for innovation and its highly developed technologies, systematically launching advanced new materials on the cutting edge of technology and recently, after the patents for the "GeoDiamond" collection of 2006 and "Crystal" of 2007, obtaining an award for its patented "Luminar" collection as "Floor tile of the year" from The Tile Association of London on April 19, 2008.
These materials are produced with minimal environmental impact, unlike quarried stone, which generates an amount of scrap that vastly exceeds the volume of stone extracted, with significant repercussions for the environment.

GranitiFiandre has been listed on the stock exchange since June 2001, and was the first to join the STAR (Segmento Titoli ad Alti Requisiti - High Level Requirements Securities Segment) section of the Telematic Stock Exchange in Milan.
GranitiFiandre and the Group's core business is the non-residential sector, and so the Group's marketing strategy does not focus exclusively on the classic "wholesaler-final customer" sales channel but on non-stop promotion of its products among the architects and designers who are the decision-makers in large-scale projects through its sales force and key account division.

Solid porcelain stoneware is produced using the most advanced electronic and mechanical technologies available today.
These technologies ensure that every item produced is different from every other, just as in nature. And two new productive plants opened after IPO in 2001 in Tennessee (USA) by the subsidiary StonePeak Ceramics Inc. (2005) and in Brandenburg (Germany) by the subsidiary Porcelaingres Gmbh (2004), with latest generation research technologies and flexible use of product prototyping facilities, study and design new articles for the Italian plant, for the GranitiFiandre brand and for all the Group's marketing companies.

By 2010 the GranitiFiandre Group will triple its production over 2001 (from 5.5m m2 to 15-16m m2 of top quality porcelain stoneware tiles) thanks to increasing internationalisation of production and sales centring on the two new plants in Germany and the United States.


Commercial companies

Savoia Canada is the subsidiary which acts as the Group's agent, distributor and warehouser on the Canadian market; it is concerned with local distribution on the markets served by its warehouses, offices and showrooms in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

The Architectural Import subgroup and the subsidiary company Techgeo focus on promoting sales of StonePeak and GranitiFiandre materials on markets of strategic importance such as the United States and Spain.

Geologica Milano and Geologica Parma each operate a "Geologica" Shop; GranitiFiandre owns majority shares in these companies, along with the principal distributors on the markets they serve.
The brand name stores' role is promotion of the image of the GranitiFiandre brand in the local area, supplying a service to architects and designers and promoting the group's products on the residential market.

Installation companies

The installation service is a true "post-sales" service which helps generate value for the products offered in a "turnkey" service concept, a very important aspect of the group's strategy for ensuring customer satisfaction and customer fidelity.
The GranitiFiandre Group offers an installation service to add to its competitive edge, lengthening the value chain while promoting development of its core business.

The subsidiaries Technoposa and Ceramiche Riunite in Italy and Technopose & Bedel in France operate primarily in the area of installation and "turnkey" services for customers.

The subsidiary company Floornature provides the GranitiFiandre Group with an operative organisation supporting use of internet technologies of strategic importance for innovative management of the group's relations with architects and designers for discussion and promotion of the GranitiFiandre brand and the services it offers.
