Calacatta Gold Extreme Active 150x75 cm : 300 mq (ca.)
The project responds to the need to update the hospital to meet the minimum requirements for accreditation, as well as a general technological upgrade.
The criteria employed in the design implement the definitive project and satisfy health criteria (rooms must be easy to access for stay patients), technological criteria (walls must also protect against ionising radiation), and logistical and aesthetic criteria.
To this end, the above criteria have resulted in a building featuring a series of concrete volumes, partly underground and partly above ground, at different heights but with a uniform surface.
The decision to cover the entire exterior of the building satisfies the requirement for uniformity, although the facade has a more prestigious finish. The building has a curtain wall with concealed mounting equipment and Calacatta Gold Extreme Active porcelain stoneware slabs in the 150x75 cm size.
The material was chosen to satisfy the client's need to use a material able to interact with the environment, capable of maintaining its qualities over time, active and able to reduce the noxious effects of the major atmospheric pollutants.
