A villa overlooking Palermo from an untouched landscape becomes the pretext for an eco-friendly design. Located on a hill at 609 m above sea level, it has two storeys above ground. The ground floor is dedicated to the day area, conceived as an ample living room with large corner windows to bring the outdoors into the everyday life of the building's interior.
The first floor is dedicated to the night area: two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a spacious master bedroom with direct access to the terrace. Given the context, the materials were chosen to guarantee salubriousness for the place and its occupants, which is why Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™ in a variety of colours: Beige Ground for the outer covering of the curtain walls and floors, Grey70 for the indoors flooring which, thanks to its characteristics, satisfies the client's high standards of cleanliness, salubriousness and hygiene, and Pietra Serena for exterior including the basement of the building, the swimming pool border and the stairways. Beige Ground and Pietra Serena Active were preferred for the exterior coverings so that, in direct sunlight, the TiO2 would be able to best develop its photo-catalytic anti-pollution and antibacterial action.

Due to the exceptional characteristics of Active materials, the building will reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by the equivalent of 12 fully grown trees, given that a total of 592 m2 of Active materials are being used.
