The prehistoric people who lived in an area attempted to fend off danger by enclosing their worlds in caves, tents and igloos. Modern architecture no longer has to satisfy this need - structure is no longer a guard against external hazards and the weather - and instead concentrates exclusively on the construction of "wonder domes", even though nature constantly makes its presence felt with tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. The idea of a house covered with earth is intended first and foremost to safeguard the occupant from the elements, but is also a solution in terms of thermal insulation and energy generation. Electrical power is generated by solar panels, which are also used for heating water. To defend the building against earthquakes, the foundations do not rest directly on the ground, but rather on a thin layer of mercury which registers the movements of the ground.
A house built in this way will have saved and generated energy after 20-30 years.
