The new hotel is in the north-west of the Municipality of Viareggio, at Lido, on flat ground, located in a green area on the north side of the "Garden City”, 500 m from the sea, at the centre of an infrastructure complex with the motorway nearby and the highway exit right next to it. From the beginning of the last century, Viareggio has been a summer tourist destination, with characteristic events such as the renowned carnival.
The design of the new hotel complex is intended to amplify the city's offering, with a refined use of contemporary architectural design featuring sophisticated volumetrics and a carefully chosen materials. The project is composed of a primary parallelepiped structure with architectonic elements such as wings, covered patios and balconies, which exalt the rhythm of the space.
The rear view uses painted aluminium sun shields on the balconies to set the rhythm of the facade, while seeking to preserve the intimacy of the bedrooms.
The raw materials were selected to employ advanced technologies in the service of a perfect integration into the surrounding urban context. The spaces intended for the hotel's primary functions are located on the ground floor and rotate around the large entrance hall, partly with double volumes, which house the reception services, offices and elements connecting the various storeys.
The ground floor is divided into two distinct spatial and functional contexts, which house the functional activities of the hotel. The top floors house the guest rooms, for a total of 82 units.
