Dial srl has undertaken the process to requalify its production facilities and, more generally, to achieve greater environmental sustainability and better functionality of the spaces to be designed. Industrial activity and widespread urbanisation result in environmental degradation, reduced quality of life for all inhabitants and high consumption of resources. The designer's response to this is clear: to develop a sustainable project, a green project which gives new energy to urban requalification.
he project aims to expand and aesthetically upgrade the building; to express the company's philosophy via aesthetic choices which combine and reorganise existing buildings with different functions and uses, propose an architectonic requalification which can also affect the surrounding area, at the present time an anonymous industrial district. The point of sale is an architectonic object and vehicle of transmission, where, in a rigid, cubic space, a perfect space, metal mushrooms spring up which desire to grow, creating intermediate spaces up to the ceiling level.
The design also intends to upgrade the prospects, by demonstrating the eco-sustainability of the company and the wish to develop, as expressed in a modern and natural material as used in a curtain wall with Active slabs which significantly reduce the noxious effects of the major atmospheric pollutants and almost completely eliminate certain bacteria.
The covering becomes a wall which is not only rhythmically articulated by a syncopated sequence of sizes and colours, but which establishes a relationship with the surrounding buildings, attempting to create a natural relationship by using a material which is the symbol of modernity and green living.
