Semplice urbano

Quarzite Blanca Extreme 150x75 cm
The Semplice Urbano project is born from the desire to offer public spaces with a dignity which goes beyond mere styling, and which give a pleasant identity to public facilities. The Semplice Urbano includes 4 proposals: Public toilets, with a very simple structure, 2 shed-like modules united by a small green area. The flooring and walls (interior and exterior) are made with Quarzite Blanca Active (75x150 for the wall tiles and 75x75 for the flooring, with textured finish).
The roof, which is painted green, houses solar panels to power the lights, heating and hot water supply. The second part of the project is the Rifugio del Bebé (public nursery), which aims to support parents with children living in the city. The Rifugio del Bebé units have a simple form and are equipped with the basic necessities for small children.
They are built in Quarzite Blanca Active 75x75 cm with hydrojet-cut coloured decorative inserts. The third structure is the Totemcittà, composed of a steel structure clad in Quarzite Blanca Active 150x75 slabs.
The totem is intended to be a point of reference in the city for tourists and citizens alike. Two touchscreens offer information about monuments, hotels and restaurants, and even the weather and air quality. The totem can also act as an autonomous electric car recharging point, thanks to the power generated by its 2 solar panels, which also act as a small rain roof.
The Semplice Urbano project is rounded off by the noise barriers, usually cold structures which in this case have been developed into containers for green areas, and rest and light facilities. The possibility of installing small solar panels on the tops of the barriers makes them autonomous in terms of lighting at night, which is provided by led bulbs on both sides.
