The new stands are located in an ideal position inside the Mugello racetrack, facing the pit lane near to the finish line. The project will provide a walkway connecting the new stands with the current office/management building. The architectonic concept is intended to express speed and fluidity, emphasising the horizontal over the vertical, in the definition of its views towards the straight and the Biondetti bends at its back. Special attention has been paid to the height of its various levels so as to give an excellent view, throughout its length, of the Straight/Pit Lane, and the Biondetti Bends.
The new stands are designed to seat 4,549 spectators: the extended roofed terraces, interrupted by the service blocks and vertical connecting elements, with their intentionally impactful styling, are covered throughout in Active fine porcelain stoneware. This choice reflects the project's guidelines: respect for the environment, minimal impact on the territory and use of renewables.
The extended terraces and the powerful cantilevered roof create, thanks to the use of non-polluting Active materials and the solar panels on the roof, the added value of energy efficiency and sustainability.
