Fiandre and Granitech have joined forces and will take part in KLIMAHOUSE, the trade fair for renovation and energy efficiency in construction, to be held from January 22 to 25, 2020 in Bolzano.

We will participate in the event as exhibiting partners at LA CASA RICICLABILE (The Recyclable House), a project promoted by EdicomEdizioni / Architettura & Sostenibilità, a specialist publishing house that promotes a design and construction culture that is environmentally friendly and quality-oriented in planning educational and cultural events through periodicals, scientific series and monographs.

EdicomEdizioni defines construction as “one of the sectors most responsible for the consumption of non-renewable resources, as well as producing construction and demolition waste, which accounts for 25-30% of the total waste generated in Europe. To increase the sustainability of construction projects, it is therefore essential to take into consideration their entire life cycle.”

A project focused on easy disassembly and dismantling and on the use of a significant amount of recycled and disposable material is therefore necessary, so as to facilitate the recovery, reuse and recycling processes, thus increasing the overall sustainability of the project.

These will be the main themes of the Casa riciclabile conference, an opportunity to compare recent research on the circular economy with some proposals of operational models that can soon be applied to the construction sector.

At Klimahouse 2020, a Granitech ventilated façade mockup will be on display at the La Casa Riciclabile stand,

with a Fiandre surface from the Core Shade line applied to it, made using at least 40% recycled materials, in compliance with LEED requirements.
The tiles have been treated with Active 2.0 technology, which ensures that the surfaces are antibacterial even in poor lighting conditions and in the dark. Today, Active is also “active” on all bacteria, including antibiotic-resistant bacteria (MRSA), which are very dangerous for humans and, unfortunately, are on the rise worldwide. Finally, all photocatalytic properties are maintained not only with UV or solar lights, but also with LED lights.
