From 16 to 18 April, Fiandre plays a leading role in Almaty with the Fiandre Days, an initiative sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Astana along with the Italian Cultural Institute in Almaty, focusing on dialogue between innovation, culture and sustainability. For three days, the academic, professional and creative community of Kazakhstan will be engaged in events reflecting on the hottest topics linked to environmental well-being and design responsibility.
On 16 April, at KazGaSa University, Claudia Letizia Bianchi, full professor of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Milan, will be meeting students and teachers to discuss “Pollution and light: the revolution that can save the planet”, showing how Active Surfaces® technologies are able to turn ceramic surfaces into tools for fighting pollution, through the action of light.
The next day, 17 April, the event moves to the Italian Culture Institute in Almaty to investigate the topic of “Greenwashing vs Sustainability: Separating Fact from Fiction”. A debate among professionals and experts, distinguishing concrete sustainability practices from misleading communication strategies.
The event ends on 18 April with the Fiandre Party, an evening focusing on Italian design and manufacturing, again hosted by the Italian Culture Institute. A meeting devoted to selected guests to celebrate Italian style, taste and hospitality.
Through the Fiandre Days, the Fiandre brand once again confirms its commitment to actively promoting a design culture based on research into well-being and sustainability.
A concrete and responsible vision of the future that Fiandre shares with designers around the world every day.
