OXYGEN ECO-TOWER BY PROGETTO CMR WINS THE "PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD" AT MIPIM 2015

Fiandre, an Italian company and a leader in the production of high end full-body porcelain stoneware, is proud to announce the victory of project Oxygen Eco-Tower—which they co-created—winner at the Mipim in Cannes 2015 of the prize “People’s Choice Award” .

Submitted in the category Best Futura Mega Project, Oxygen Eco-Tower, “your villa in the sky” , a 100% Italian made project, dazzled the audience, making Italy the winner of this special category, running against 40 other international projects.

The environmentally sustainable residential tower, designed by architect Massimo Roj of Progetto CRM, a consulting firm specialising in integrated design, originated from the idea of a flower that unfolds and grows over 270 metres tall for a total of 75 floors and 161 vertical villas.
A truly avant-garde masterpiece of construction and architecture, Oxygen Eco-Tower stands out because every design choice was guided by environmentally friendly technology in order to build a green structure, using technical solutions that enabled a true symbiosis with the environment and the use of renewable resources.
The Active slabs by Fiandre was chosen for the exterior, as it is perfectly in tune with the project: the slabs are eco-active and are anti-polluting, anti-bacterial and self-cleaning.
