In Ningbo, China, a 760-square metre attic has been transformed into a design masterpiece that reflects the essence of its inhabitants. The project, created by the firm Yiqi Design, revolves around the philosophy of “Home is What You Like”, an idea that goes beyond the simple concept of living: the home becomes an extension of the personality and preferences of its inhabitants, a welcoming place that tells a story.
In this context, Fiandre materials were chosen for their ability to interpret and showcase the identity of the spaces. In the bedroom, the main wall is adorned with Luce Gold from the LUCE collection by Guillermo Mariotto, which stands out for its golden shading and luminous surface that helps create an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. This element dialogues perfectly with the neutral hues and smooth textures in the space, offering a feeling of serenity.
The floor in the living room, in White Aion Maximum, defines a bright, sophisticated base that amplifies the perception of light and spaciousness. The understated white harmoniously matches the minimal furnishings and delicate colour palette, creating a perfect balance of comfort and elegance. White Aion Maximum was also used for the entrance hall and the bath tub area of one of the bedrooms. The choice of uniform textures adds both beauty and function: the visual continuity brings consistency to the project, adding a smooth sense of connection between the spaces.
Every detail was designed to focus on people. The open spaces and flexible furnishings in the living area are an invitation to share and enjoy, while in the kitchen function supports the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and in the private areas the materials and colours reflect the needs and tastes of the owners, with original solutions also for the children.
This attic is a unique and personal interpretation of the living concept, where design is more than just beauty, it is a way of living. The quality and versatility of Fiandre materials elegantly tell a story that celebrates the beauty and authenticity of the home.
