A collaboration has been established between the world of the sea and Fiandre Architectural Surfaces, through a young way of travelling, which is becoming trendier and trendier. The "Blue Motion" logo launches a brand new product in the floating house category, aiming to reach a different market segment and a target of more demanding customers. In Germany and the Netherlands, houseboats represent a popular way to live the holidays in absolute freedom, moving every day from one place to another with maximum ease and flexibility. This project embodies high standards of comfort and aesthetics, offering the chance to travel and experience the pleasure of an undisturbed contact with nature, enjoying little but very gratifying luxury.

Designed using three shades of blue, this houseboat differentiates itself among all the others. Warm accents for the interiors and a gorgeous area dedicated to sauna and shower makes it very pleasant to use the ship all year long, even during the cold months in Northern Europe. The selection of the materials has been particularly difficult, requiring surfaces capable of withstanding the waves of the sea. For the same problem, it has been extremely important to use large sized tiles and have as few gaps as possible for a better water resistance and more easily deal with wave motion.

The collaboration with Fiandre Architectural Surfaces was ideal not just to have the opportunity of using tiles in size 150x300 cm for walls and floor coverings, but also for the fantastic support guaranteed by Kölking-Wobbe, excellent partner of the company, specialised in customised applications of these extra-large slabs of Maximum Fiandre Extralite collection.

Thanks to a 3D measuring device, the group was able to calculate the difficult geometry of the houseboat, have the files sent to the NC machine and finally have everything cut according to the size required, ready to be completed on site. It is clear that the 6-mm thickness has made much more easier the application of the panels avoiding dust and dirt, a particularly important detail for a boat featuring many elements of high technology and preciousness.

If "excellence calls excellence", another perfectly integrated intervention with a high professional team has been offered by Baqua GmbH. Leader in manufacturing sophisticated tailor-made solutions for bathrooms, it collaborates with top companies of the sector, working with advanced technologies, dimensions and materials. Baqua is able to offer unlimited possibilities of design and great flexibility on geometries, for minimalist proposals that combine high aesthetic quality with efficiency.

In this project, the choice of the AquaSymphony showerhead by Grohe requested the realisation of an invisible drainage channel capable of flowing 160 litres of water per minute. Fiandre Architectural Surfaces has provided a precious contribution through the versatility, functionality and beauty of its ceramic, very well suited for the bathroom and the wellness of the environment, creating easy to handle, and perhaps lifting shower floors in the future. Above all, it was not just a matter of material, rather an important exchange of professional skills and profitable assistance.

Inspired from Louis Vuitton, interior designers decided to carve the initials "BM" of the logo on the ceramic surface. Thanks to the new DYS - Design Your Slabs technology, Fiandre has given the opportunity to personalise, choose the colour, size and grain size of the product, helping the interaction between creative professional and technical assistance. This last generation of digital printing matches the excellent performance of premium porcelain stoneware slabs with plenty of eye-catching visual possibilities for any original composition. Suitable for any situation, DYS slabs are water repellent, smog-proof, and UV-rays resistant; all these properties make them durable over time and suitable for any environment.
