MarePineta Resort, Milano Marittima
Icona di stile ed emblema della più esclusiva ospitalità
(Ravenna, Italia)

The MarePineta Resort is a historical hotel in Milano Marittima, built in the 1920s and recently given a new lease of life thanks to a full renovation at the behest of Salaroli S.p.A, a company established in Forlì in 1974 which also has showrooms in Faenza, Ravenna, Bologna, Rimini and Cesena.

Surrounded by an ancient pine grove and located just 50 short steps from the sea, MarePineta Resort was built in the 1920s and quickly put Milano Marittima on the map, establishing itself as an icon of style and elegance on the Romagna Riviera. It has the generous dimensions of hotels of days gone by: 182 rooms, over 10000 m² of tennis courts, swimming pools and gardens. The resort’s private beach is another star attraction, covering an area of over 11,000 m² and complete with beach bar, restaurant and lounge area.

The most recent restyling project, by Milan-based Studio Lissoni, had a brief to create a luxury oasis of hospitality, service and comfort, restoring the property's original splendour and combining its illustrious past with contemporary lifestyle. Davide Salaroli and Giancarlo Salaroli, respectively CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salaroli SpA, wanted to make guests feel at home in a warm, welcoming space with a far more modern feel than before.

Stage one of the project involved the complete rebuilding of the exterior of the restaurant, deliberately created with a totally different style, before moving on to the renovation of the ground floor, guest rooms, conference rooms, club house, beach establishment and spa.

For the exterior front area next to the hotel entrance and for the beach establishment pathways leading from the club house to the beach, Fiandre Architectural Surfaces developed custom paving designed to meet the client’s requirements, providing a turnkey service. For bathroom flooring in the main complex, meanwhile, the Taxos Maximum texture in a honed finish was selected.

Architectural surfaces that generate wellbeing

Wellbeing is the leitmotif that links every aspect of the experience on offer at the MarePineta Resort. From the superb comfort of the guest rooms and the excellent cuisine served up by Michelin-star chef Andrea Ribaldone, to the ample space dedicated to countless recreational facilities, the attentive and discreet service, and the resort’s veritable pièce de résistance: the "MarePineta Private Spa by Clarins".

Designed by architect Davide Cerini, the Spa is one of the projects that most sets the historical five-star hotel apart as Milano Marittima's ultimate haven of hospitality and wellness: 437 m² of wellbeing, covered with large slabs by Fiandre Architectural Surfaces.

The pride and joy of the resort, the Spa is an oasis of peace and tranquillity where clients can rediscover health and beauty; a gem of delightful aesthetics and functionality designed to instil tranquillity, harmony and serenity. Each space is crafted to convey a different mood, thanks to precious coverings by Fiandre Architectural Surfaces, which are used to stunning effect on floors and walls.

The floors feature Quiet Rock surfaces from the Quietstones Maximum collection with 150x150 cm size slabs plus Calacatta Elite from the Marmi Maximum collection in 300x150 cm large size slabs with a bright finish.
The latter texture is also the covering selected for walls, which are also embellished with another two captivating textures, again in the large slab size: Eminent Brown from the Eminent Wood Maximum collection in the Satin version, and Pietra Grey from the Marmi Maximum collection in the bright version.

The Salaroli brothers chose Fiandre Architectural Surfaces because of the pioneering spirit that drives the brand and its ability to combine beauty and durability in every product.
